UPS just dropped off my copy of the new Dungeons of Dread. It looks pretty good. The quality of the book is about the same as the deluxe AD&D reprints, except that the page edges are not gold leaf.
By the way, the price on Amazon for the OD&D reprint has dropped to $94, which is a more reasonable value than the $150 MSRP.
I am curious...in light of all of these reprints (OD&D, AD&D editions, and classic module series) why the D&D rules cyclopedia...or any of the B/X materials...are not being reprinted?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....
I would not be surprised if a Rules Cyclopedia reprint was in the works.
ReplyDeleteThe did release PDF's of B/X through dndclassics.com, so I'm not sure if we'll see it in print. I imagine a deluxe B/X print edition would sell, even with the PDF's available.
B/X might also be a very good candidate for WotC to dip their toes into print-on-demand. I'd also love to see cheap PoD's of the OD&D booklets after they sell down copies of the deluxe reprint.
